Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit everywhere. Sunshine is Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta now, Sunshine is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician playing and singing at the church in town. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan and was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay of her live set. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
